Children and Youth
Faith communities, faith-based organisations, and religious leaders support high-level political commitments towards children’s targets by maintaining and supporting visible, coordinated and strategic advocacy on paediatric and adolescent HIV and engaging with
other sectors.
Some of the activities Interfaith Health Platform members do together include:
-
Supporting the Paediatric HIV and TB Leadership Consultation
-
Ensuring effective and coordinated participation of FBOs in the Rome Paediatric HIV and TB Action Plan (Vatican Initiative), including regular reporting of progress towards the commitments.
-
Issue policy briefs on FBOs promising practices to end AIDS in children by 2030 for MoH, policymakers and HIV program managers involved in Global Alliance on early testing and comprehensive, high-quality treatment & care for children and adolescents living with HIV and perinatally exposed children and addressing rights, gender equality, and the social & structural barriers that hinder access (notably stigma).
