The IHP seeks diverse activities for the Interfaith Networking Zone of the Global Village that will speak to people from all faith traditions and secular groups. Activities should also involve participants with different levels of experience – from those new to International AIDS Conferences to those who have long been involved in the response and are looking for new insights into tackling deep-rooted challenges.
Proposals are due by June 2022.

Interfaith Networking Zone: Partnering with faith groups to overcome stigma and increase access to HIV services
Understanding how to engage with the faith sector is essential to overcome stigma and discrimination, increase access to HIV services and promote human rights for all.
Faith communities make distinctive contributions in several areas of the HIV response, including service delivery, community outreach, demand creation of HIV services in places of worship, advocacy and awareness raising. Situated within communities and building on relationships of trust, faith groups have shown the ability to influence attitudes and behaviour of other community members, including adolescents and young people.Faith communities can help to overcome inequalities, including cultural and traditional practices that hamper access to HIV services and help to encourage more effective and sustainable community HIV programmes.
